Pressing the right mouse button while over the Symbol button will invoke a symbol popup menu that allow any of the 9 T/HIS symbols to be selected (the 9 ^th is a blank symbol that can be selected so that a curve can be plotted without a symbol). As well as the 9 symbols the menu also contains a No Change option.

The Symbols Frequency controls how often a symbol is drawn on a curve. By default, symbols are not drawn; they can be switched on using the Display menu.
