BATTERY SETUP

The Battery Setup tool can be used to easily setup a pouch battery cell structure and combine it with the required *EM_RANDLES keywords to model Randles circuits within the battery cell. 

The Ansys LS-DYNA Randles circuit model simulates the internal electrochemical reaction of a battery cell which could be used to analyse its thermal response during the charge or discharge cycles as well as predict internal short circuits during abusive scenarios. 

Below is an example of the thermal response during the discharge load (shown in D3PLOT) of a simple battery cell model generated through the tool.
