Memory requirements

Memory is allocated dynamically, so the amount required rises in proportion to the problem size. However machines with less than 8 GBytes of physical memory (RAM) are unlikely to function satisfactorily with modern LS-DYNA models.

The largest problem size with which the code has been tested to date (2025) contained 330 million elements. Processing this would require a machine with at least 128 GBytes of RAM, preferably more.
